The out-of-nowhere YouTube singing star boasts almost 6 million followers on Twitter. He's touring the country, has a new album on the way in a few weeks, and will star in a movie next year.
Is that enough firepower for Master Bieber? Does the Pope skip Easter? On Sunday Bieber flexed his celebrity muscles in Los Angeles, drawing enough fans to temporarily shut down a Barnes & Noble bookstore where he was promoting his autobiography, "First Step 2 Forever: My Story." Who knew the world was hungry for the exhaustive life story of a 16-year-old?
More than 1,000 girls, a handful of boys and many bewildered parents waited in a long line that snaked through the popular Grove shopping center for a chance to meet the shaggy-haired Canadian. Everyone had secured wristbands days earlier when they bought Bieber's book, a photo-packed hardcover about his rise to fame that sells for $21.99.
The store closed its doors and blocked them with black curtains as fans streamed in to collect their signed books and pose for a photo with Bieber.
